Alleged ‘Smashed Phone’ Victim Of Conor McGregor Incident Speaks Out
Last week, Conor McGregor had another brush with the law as he set about stomping on a member of the public’s phone after he tried to snap a photo of the hot-headed Irish MMA star.
The incident, which took place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel saw McGregor arrested and released on bail. McGregor was later charged with robbery and criminal mischief charges that, at their highest penalties, carry a 15-year jail term.
Whilst the likelihood of the full penalty being applied is low, McGregor has another front to fight and that is from the victim himself.
Ahmed Abdirzak claims that McGregor lured him in with a false handshake in a common area of the hotel before grabbing him hard on the forearm, as quickly as only a trained fighter could. From there McGregor allegedly tried to grab his phone, knocking it onto the floor.
From there the Irishman lived up to his ‘Notorious’ mantle by stomping the phone like a madman, with his designer shoes. The fit of rage was caught on video which will have been used as evidence in the criminal investigation.
Ahmed Abdirzak took to social media, releasing a ‘woe is me’ video where he details just how emotionally distressed he is and how he has lost media content of his son that he had not backed up to the cloud.
You see, McGregor apparently did not return the smashed up phone to Abdirzak after the altercation. He has reportedly sued McGregor for $15,000 in damages. McGregor’s defence attorney called the lawsuit “a quick effort seeking a payday.”
