New Footage Shows Tyson Fury’s Corner Fight With Security During 12th Rd

Tyson Fury’s performance against Deontay Wilder in their WBC Heavyweight Title fight in December was nothing short of heroic.

After climbing up the heavyweight ranks, Fury shocked the boxing world in 2015 by becoming the first man in 11 years to defeat Wladimir Klitschko, winning a comprehensive 12 round unanimous decision.

Following his historic win, Fury suffered from serious bouts of depression and retired from the sport in 2016. In the years that followed the former champion would gain over 150 pounds and appeared to be destined to never compete in the ring again.

However, that would all change when Fury saw a video of Deontay Wilder talking trash about him on Instagram. With a newfound motivation, Fury began the arduous process of returning to fighting fitness, beginning with a now-infamous photo of him and fellow former world champion Ricky Hatton.

Most of the next year saw Fury preparing for his return to the ring.

Despite being advised to have at least 5 warmup fights before facing the heavyweight elite, Fury had just two, a retirement win of Sefer Seferi and a decision over former world title challenger Francesco Pianeta before asserting his was ready to challenger Wilder.

Prior to embarking on his world title fight, Fury appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience, speaking candidly about his battles with mental illness and his desire to reclaim the world heavyweight title.

Despite being unfavoured by analysts, Fury would put on a boxing masterclass in his fight with Wilder, and although he couldn’t always avoid the American’s power, being dropped in the ninth round, going into the 12th round it appeared he was cruising to a win on the judges’ scorecards.

Then that punch landed.

Fury was decked by a two-punch combination that would’ve brought an end to many a mere mortal.

With something to prove, the Brit would defy all expectations by rising to his feet ready to continue. Now, in previously unseen footage we can see the reaction of Fury’s corner when he did the unthinkable.

In the footage, a security guard screams at Fury’s head trainer Ben Davison as he stands up to offer his hurt fighter advice.
