Paige VanZant Breaks Instagram After Latest Swim Wear Photoshoot

Paige VanZant is set to join Ronda Rousey as the only active UFC competitors to be featured in the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit edition.

The 24-year-old UFC flyweight revealed the news on her Instagram account, sharing a post from the official Sports Illustrated account, showing a video of her in a revealing bikini preparing for the photo shoot in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The current #14 ranked women’s flyweight fighter appeared to be a natural in front of the camera, showing off her assets in an array of swimsuits, then sharing the results with her adoring fans on Instagram.

In one of the posts shared by the American sports media giant, Paige shared her views on the misconceptions some people have about her because of her fighting career:

“I feel like when you’re in Sports Illustrated, that means you’ve made it. So it’s a really big deal, and I’m mostly excited for people to see this side of me, I think people do forget that, yes, I’m a professional fighter, but my hair isn’t cornrowed all the time, I punch people in the face for a living, but you can look really cute too.”

As to be expected when a fighter as marketable and attractive as PVZ posts a series of shots showing her wearing very little, the online MMA community wasted no time in taking advantage of the situation.

This isn’t VanZant’s only foray into the world outside of MMA, however. In 2016 she appeared on the American dance competition TV series Dancing with the Stars. Defying expectations she would go on to finish 2nd overall in the show.

Despite her numerous successes outside the world of MMA, VanZant is currently unable to return to active competition due to an arm injury sustained during her submission win over Rachael Ostovich back in January at UFC on ESPN+ 1.
